Within the Cloudberries there is a special coming of age ceremony. This ceremony usually takes place between 12-24 months of age. The coming of age is in no way related to the choosing of a name, though some cats may decide to do them together. In the ceremony, a cat is sent down into the depths of the caves to find the crystallized body of Haar. This ceremony is considered a test of a cat's strength and will, as well as a final solidification of their faith.
Within the caves there are apparitions known as Passage Dwellers, cats who died on their journey. It's said that these spirits are very lonely, stuck deep within the darkness. They long for companionship, and for this reason, will lead cats astray, deeper into the twisting tunnels. They're known to have a certain enthralling quality to them, and it is advised to never listen to them.
